Gilliadson Shadowbane – The main character. A paladin of the Knights of Truth and a devout follower of Mithaniel Marr, The Truthbringer.

Sineliniel Shadowbane – Gilliadson’s wife. An Elementalist from the Koada`Dal city of Felwithe.

Verlaine Shadowbane – Gilliadson’s Grandmother. A Half-Elven Druidess from Surefall Glade. Member of the Circle of the Nine, the Druid High Council

Myrikel Shadowbane – Gilliadson and Sineliniel’s first child. A Paladin of Erollisi Marr, the Goddess of Love. Myrikel is called the Lovebearer by Erollisi’s Avatar, Lithian.

Jetamio Wolfheart – A very ancient Druidess and friend of Gilliadson and Sineliniel.

Stormfollower Wolfheart – Jetamio’s Husband and Friend of Gilliadson and Sineliniel.

Tortha Wolfheart – Son of Stormfollower and Jetamio.

Cionaodh Wolfheart – Daughter of Stormfollower and Jetamio.

Willanaome Bramblerose – Halfling Druidess of Karana. Friend of the Shadowbane Family.
